The Rise of Infidelity

The Rise of Out-of-Wedlock Sex Among Middle-Aged Couples

The word “infidelity” connotes a low blow to the respect with which a relationship is solidified. Now, sex outside of marriage is mostly common, if you employ it when it comes to one-time intercourse outside of marriage.

Couples excuse themselves that it was just that, one-time sex; not infidelity as such. That is, you do not have a sentimental relationship with the other person.

It must be taken into account that infidelity has always existed, since the beginning of time.

Both men and women wish to share a body that is not theirs. A relationship with commitment and solidity does not seem important. They just need the meat, to satisfy desires, fetishes and pleasure, after that, hey, I got what I needed!

This practice was passed from generation to generation. However, today’s young people seem to be much more committed to their relationships. They do not want to bite the apple of sin. Perhaps because technology distracts them, or they feel that it can be a double-edged sword.
According to a survey conducted by the University of Utah, the percentage of people who have had extramarital sex in the last decade has risen. This percentage was only valid for people between 50 and 70 years of age. But, only those who had been married between 20 and 30 years.

In Spain, a survey was conducted to determine the percentage of people who had had sex, had been unfaithful or had had sex more than once, and these were the results:

“17.2 % of the population have been unfaithful.”

“9.2% had been unfaithful more than once.”

“8% had been unfaithful only once.”

The factors that lead to this emotional fracture in the relationship may be related to monotony, sexual dissatisfaction, couple conflicts, disenchantment, among others.

The very idea that nowadays we do not talk about infidelity, but about sex outside marriage, means that the term is favorable and is being accepted by the population.
